Dear Friends of East West Players,
We hope you and your loved ones are doing well and staying safe. We send our love to all of you.
It’s hard to imagine that instead of seeing you at the theater this month, we are in the midst of something truly beyond our imagining.
While you may be focused on what’s essential right now, know that we still cannot wait to share Assassins with you. It is one of the most subversive and hilarious musicals East West Players has ever presented, with talent that is simply out of this world. We are working hard behind the scenes to secure new dates, along with announcing our upcoming 2020/21 season.
Though we are excited to share what’s ahead, these major shifts in the live theatre community mean that it is still very much up in the air when we will be able to open our doors again. With the news changing every day, we ask that you give us the next 6-8 weeks to determine what’s next for EWP.
If you are a ticket holder, no action regarding your tickets is needed. Once we have secured new dates for Assassins, we will contact you personally to reschedule with more information and properly apply your credit.
If you are able to make a donation in any amount, we thank you for your incredible generosity that helps us to continue to build community in these uncertain times.
East West Players is a family, and we are grateful for your patience as we navigate a new normal. These are trying times for us all, and everyone from our staff, our Board of Directors, and our fellowship of artists look forward to being in your company as soon as possible. We deeply yearn to provide the two things that feel very much needed right now, laughter and community. In the meantime, please take care, and thank you always for your support.
