David Henry Hwang Theater
In 1998, EWP Artistic Director Tim Dang led the company’s move from a 99-seat Equity Waiver “black box” theatre into a new 230-seat venue, the David Henry Hwang Theater, housed within the historic Union Center for the Arts in downtown Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district.
Scene Shop
The East West Players Scene Shop, located in Maywood, CA is a fully-equipped facility. The technical staff consists of designers, painters, carpenters and riggers—all trained to the highest level of expertise. Our shop staff are fully capable of fulfilling all of your design, wood-working, painting and rigging needs. We specialize in making your design visions come to life from a trade show display, 99 seat house, themed environmental installations to large multi locations productions.
