How to Purchase Tickets

Purchase tickets online at, over the phone at (213) 625-7000, or in-person at the Box Office (open 2 hours prior to showtime).

The box office opens two hours prior to all showtimes for ticket sales. You can also buy tickets by mail by sending your name, address, telephone number, performance date, and payment to East West Players Box Office. All tickets purchased via mail will be held at will call on the performance date unless the order is accompanied with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Patrons can also purchase tickets at the East West Players administrative office, Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The theater has two sections: Orchestra and Balcony.
The Orchestra section, rows A through M, contains 170 seats. The Balcony section, rows P through T, contains 70 seats.

All individual tickets may be purchased with cash, check (payable to East West Players), VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

All tickets are considered sold at the time of purchase, and once the sale is final, we do not offer refunds. All tickets must be paid for at the time of reservation.


All patrons with a valid student I.D. (any age), or under 18 years old can qualify for special discounts:

  • Regular performance tickets receive a $5 discount off of single-ticket prices

All patrons age 60 and above can qualify for a special discount of $5 off single-ticket prices for regular performances.

We offer special discounts for membership in the following organizations at the time of ticket purchase.
To qualify for the discounts, tickets must be purchased in advance by calling (213) 625-7000Monday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The discounts cannot be applied when purchasing tickets online and cannot be applied after a purchase.

Proof of membership must be presented at the Box Office to claim tickets. Discounts are not valid for preview, opening nights or special-production performances.  Discounts cannot be combined with any other discount and are valid only on full-price orchestra tickets. Limit two tickets per membership.

East West Players’ David Henry Hwang Theater is ADA compliant.

If you require special seating or elevator assistance, please let the box office staff know at the time of ticket purchase. Assisted listening devices are also available at the box office on the day of the performance.
